Found this on YoZuck, a really neat blog someone created with great ideas to improve Facebook. They make some great mockups to go along with the ideas, which most of the time are ideas I would love to see but never thought of myself.
As for this specific idea, my friends on Facebook are broken up into 3 main language groups (English, Spanish, Chinese) and I’m only fluent enough to converse with my Chinese friends (and lots of time the humor in posts is lost in my ability to translate). This would be definitely be a great feature to see.

Most of us have a few friends who speak a different language to our own and sometimes when they post an update in Suomi it’s not exactly handy to join in; so why not have a translate feature. Hat-tip to @mrliamryan for the idea.
Yo Zuck! Implement this.
A neat list of top 10 lists compiled by Jeff Atwood. I really like the note at the end with the quote about why he included a designer’s list in a programming top 10.
Software development is a kissing cousin of engineering (if not an engineering discipline itself), and blends creativity with math and science. That’s why I find that a lot of advice to creative types is also applicable to software developers.
Worth the 2 minute read.
Another incredible time lapse by Terje Sorgjerd. I’m a big fan of him and his work. Here’s an interview he did with the Wall Street Journal.
